The ECE Graduate Student Association will hold its first seminar on Saturday, April 12, 2003, from 9 am to 2 pm. Intended to showcase various departmental research groups, each talk will include a short presentation and a question-and-answer session.

The GSA hopes to offer up to 17 research presentations meeting the following goals:

• To inform all graduate students about the research being conducted in the department.
  
• To acquaint graduate students with the various research groups, and the involved faculty members and students.
  
• To help them determine the kind of work they would be interested in and to collaborate with faculty on the same.
  
• To provide an opportunity for Masters thesis and Ph.D. students to sharpen their presentation skills.

Abstract submission forms for participation will be collected until March 27 by Kamala Subramaniam via email or in 308 Daniels in order to produce a book of abstracts by April 5.
