Blake Lucas, graduated in May with a degree in EE, CPE & CSC. He along with a  crew of seniors in Computer Science and Physics, were part of the NC State Computer Science Senior Design Center (CSIDC) team. They won the Microsoft Software Engineering Award in addition to placing first in the World for their system, SunRay (for more information about the competition, please see: http://www.computer.org/csidc/TopTen.htm )! The team was awarded a total of $22,000.

Please join the Department of Computer Science in celebrating the First-in-the-World Senior Design Team victory at the 2006 IEEE Computer Society Computer Science International Design Competition (CSIDC) held in Washington DC on June 30-July 2.

This is the second year in a row that one of our Senior Design Center teams placed first in this international competition.  In 2003, another one of our teams placed third.
