Over 2,500 students from NC State and other UNC systems school gathered at the Bell Tower around 11am Wednesday, May 2nd to march down Hillsborough St. to the legislative building. Protesting proposed budget cuts, students expressed their concern about loss of faculty and staff positions and the subsequent increase in class size and graduation times.

All UNC institutions were asked to provide UNC President Molly Broad with options totaling as much as a 7% recurring budget cut.
