SCH: Enhanced Detection of Impending Problem Behavior in People with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Through Multimodal Sensing and Machine Learning
This project is being conducted by the North Carolina State University (NCSU) in partnership with several agencies providing services to individuals with IDD.
This project seeks to improve functional behavioral assessment and treatment of problem behavior exhibited by children and adolescents with Intellectual and Development Disorders (IDD), including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). Through the use of individualized multimodal machine learning (ML) models, the goal is to reliably predict and prevent problem behavior in real time. NC State is partnering with agencies providing services to individuals with IDD to conduct this project.
