Feysel Yalcin Yamaner

Biography

Dr, Yamaner's primary area of interest is microfabrication, micromachined ultrasonic transducers and their applications. He has an extensive cleanroom experience, for more than 15 years, working on micro/nano fabrication processes in different cleanroom facilities around the world. He was a visiting researcher with the VLSI Design and Education Center (VDEC), Tokyo, Japan, in 2006, and a visiting scholar in the Micromachined Sensors and Transducers Laboratory, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, USA, in 2008. He was a Research Associate with the Laboratory of Therapeutic Applications of Ultrasound, French National Institute of Health and Medical Research, Lyon, France in 2011. Dr. Yamaner joined NC State University as a postdoctoral research associate and played a key role in the establishment of a new research laboratory. Accordingly, he has developed a novel fabrication method using anodic bonding that simplifies the fabrication of capacitive micromachined ultrasonic transducers (CMUTs) and extended its applications in the ultrasound field.
